I highly recommend Pat Durbin and his team at Certified Handyman. I have an older house with a tiny bathroom, and it needed to be completely torn out and redone. They also updated my kitchen. They did a great job on both. Pat is knowledgeable and the contract he gave me was detailed and showed everything we agreed on. We only had small things that needed to be changed during the project, and he showed me and gave me options on those. When they came to do the work, they came just about every day until the project was done. The first thing they did when they came to my house was lay down a protective covering on my floors, and they did a good job cleaning up when they left in the afternoons. They were easy to work with, and Pat responded quickly any time I needed to talk to him. I had some extra requests along the way and he was patient and was able to accommodate me. I am very happy with the results!

We had a great experience with Certified Handyman and Remodeling. We had two bathrooms renovated, a kitchen renovated, and a new screened in porch added on. Pat, Andy, and Tony were on site daily for 3 months. They took care of our house making sure that work areas were clean and there was minimal disruption to us. All three were excellent and a pleasure to work with. Anytime we had any questions or concerns, they were immediately addressed by the team.

Pat would frequently check in with us via text checking on how things were going and letting us know timetables for when different parts of the renovations would be happening.

The finished product exceeds our expectations! We have received so many compliments on the renovations, especially with the kitchen and screened porch addition. Pat has so many wonderful ideas to share, and he was always willing to have multiple ideas of how to complete our jobs to meet our needs the best and at the best price.

Pat does tend to stay very busy, so it will likely be a little time before the work may be completed. The extra wait is worth it to work with this company.

We also plan to have the exterior of our house updated in the near future with Certified Handyman. We look forward to adding a review for exterior work.

Friendly, professional, flexible and just an all around pleasure to deal with. Pat and his team (Andy and Tony) did a phenomenal job on remodeling our three bathrooms - all at the same time! They helped me navigate supply chain issues and were extremely accommodating when I asked to add on a couple things that weren't in the original scope of the project. For remodeling three bathrooms, I thought the price was very fair. Exceptional work.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience with Pat and his team for our full basement renovation. We got five quotes and Pat was not only able to work with us, but actually pushed us to finish more space then we planned and stay in budget. He was great to work with - troubleshooting even the smallest problems - like how to keep our toddlers from opening the doors that led to our HVAC. Their ability to take your ideas, and turn them into reality was amazing. We couldn't be happier.

Pat and his son, Andy, did a very good job on all aspects of our kitchen remodel project. When started they stayed with the job until completion. The communications with Pat made sure the quality met our expectations and all of our requests for minor adjustments were met. Certified Handyman has performed several projects at my home in the last few years. I have been extremely pleased with the outcome for jobs large and small. Patrick Durbin is always easy to deal with and knowledgeable about woodworking, plumbing, electrical issues, and just about anything else that needs to be done around the house. I even got him to repair a tool box that was missing rivets from the pull-out drawers. I highly recommend this company. I have found them to be capable and honest. I will definitely call on them in the future for home repairs / improvements. My latest project was installation of a wet bar in the basement. Patrick helped me pick out the components (cabinets, cabinet top, and additional shelves) and did all the woodwork, plumbing, and electrical work for the installation. The finished product was exactly what I wanted. They also placed supports in my built in bookcases to keep the shelves from sagging along with several minor projects. This was all performed in a professional manner. I was very pleased with the results.

We originally hired Pat Durbin and his crew to install new kitchen cabinets. He stays busy, so there was a wait of a few months before he could start, but this worked to our benefit in many ways as we continued to add to the list of other things we needed him to do for us. They not only did a beautiful job of installing our cabinetry, but also put up crown molding in several rooms, refurbished the panty, replaced a coat closet door and a back door and several other projects. One of the most concerning things for us in hiring a contractor was in getting someone who set up to work, but only showed up a day or two per week due to working other jobs at the same time. This is never a good plan and certainly something we dreaded. As well, we worried about who would be working in our home. The high review takes all this into consideration as the guys worked 5 days a week and didn't pull off the job until we were 98% done and waiting on a few small things to come in which they took care of. Finally, we can't say enough good things about the guys. Pat, Andy and Tony were like family, as we were really comfortable and trusting with each one of them which made leaving during the day so easy. We would hire them again.

Pat and his team did a great job on our house. We had a one big room as the add on and they turned it into 3 wonderful rooms with a bathroom. The frame work is awesome and the paint job was done wonderfully. Our family couldn't be happier with the work and plan on using his team again for future projects.

Showed up on time every day foreman was in the house on the job every day to check on the workers, left the premises as clean as they possibly could while under construction, finished in a timely manner. All employees on the premises were courteous and polite and understanding. And respectful. And any concerns that we had spoke to the foreman and he addressed them immediately or came over to check on them

Pat ( owner) is very good to work with: excellent communication, very reliable, pricing was very fair, jobs completed on time AND within budget. Pat has done both regular handyman work for us and just completed a full kitchen remodel. For our kitchen remodel in our 90+ year old home, the price I was quoted was the price I paid despite there being the (expected in an old house) “ hiccups/ surprises” once work started. I’ve done several kitchen remodels before and knew what I wanted, and Pat was great at working with me to my vision ( a lot of contractors are not. He was really a partner. Due to Pat’s creative suggestions and fantastic woodworking skills, I was able to afford “ custom” features on a much lower budget than purchasing from the cabinet company: custom charging station, built a cabinet for our cutting boards in a leftover space, outfitted a non-standard exhaust solution and created a gorgeous custom glass display cabinet (for less than half of what others quoted) . Friends said to expect serious time overruns but our job was completed on-time. Overall jobs have gone very well and we are thrilled with our beautiful new kitchen!

From the beginning of the project, Pat was an excellent communicator and asked for my input on all aspects of the job. He and the team were punctual, respectful, and responsive. They all were honest, knowledgeable and worked hard to please. My husband and I are thrilled with the results of the renovation.

Pat's team does great work. I'm very picky and I have very high standards, and they are always willing to go the extra step to make things exactly the way I want. He does not nickel and dime you, which is a rare thing these days in the construction world. Very affordable, very reliable. We've used him for multiple projects now, big and small. We don't even call other contractors anymore, unless Pat says he's not able to do what we want.

Pat and his team did an excellent job with the addition of the dormer, expanding the bathroom, insulate & drywall bedroom, and added bedroom to basement. Pat had great ideas to help with the remodel. Pat and his team were friendly, reliable, and competent to handle whatever job you may need done. Patrick Durbin is the general contractor and performed the work along with several of his employees. He is very detail oriented and does an excellent job. He made suggestions along the way for improvements that I would not have thought of. I would recommend him for any large or small project.

Work included all demo, moving of some plumbing and electrical, installing doors and frames, lighting, flooring, drywall and painting. We needed our interior stair railing repaired, as the bannister had come loose from the wall and was creating a safety risk for our family. I reached out to Pat and received a same day response. He was extremely professional and worked to understand exactly what our needs were. He was able to have a carpenter out to us less than 48 hours after our initial consultation. Jesse was the carpenter assigned to the job and he was absolutely wonderful! He arrived early for our appointment and got straight to work assessing the situation. He was very personable and explained what he would be doing to repair our stairwell. The repairs were made and our stairs are better than they were before! Jesse did a great job! We had an old basketball goal at the bottom of the drive that our neighbors tell us was at least 30 years old - it was rusty, falling apart and a real eyesore.
